Meeting Room vs. Private Day Office: What’s the Difference?
Updated this week

When booking a workspace, you may come across the terms Meeting Room and Private Day Office.

A Meeting Room (also referred to as a 'conference room') is a private room designed for collaborative discussions, presentations, and team gatherings. It typically includes:

  • A central conference table

  • AV equipment (screens, projectors, video conferencing tools)

  • Whiteboards or flip charts

  • Hourly or daily hire options

Best for: Team meetings, client presentations, brainstorming sessions, interviews, and workshops.

A Private Day Office is a private workspace available for the day, typically by individuals or small teams. It offers:

  • Individual desks and ergonomic chairs

  • High-speed internet and power outlets

  • Access to shared amenities (e.g., kitchen, lounge areas)

  • Usually rented by the day

Best for: Individual work, team office days, or temporary workspace needs.

Quick tips on choosing the right space

  • Need to host a client meeting, collaborate with a team, or use AV equipment? We recommend booking a Meeting Room.
